Developing a Gourmet Range and Opening a New Distribution Channel for Olis Bargalló

Founded in 1850, the Catalan company Olis Bargalló has remained, four generations later, a key player in olive oil distribution for the HORECA sector in Barcelona.
Challenge
How can a historic olive oil brand, firmly rooted in the Catalan HORECA market, stimulate growth beyond its regional stronghold and traditional distribution circuit?
Mission
To develop a gourmet product range from the existing portfolio and activate a distribution channel specialized in fine food retail, in Spain and abroad.
Actions
I supported Olis Bargalló in structuring its premium offer and opening new markets through a comprehensive strategic and operational approach:
• Conducted a detailed market study (SWOT)
• Selected and structured a gourmet range from the best catalog references
• Defined distributor & retail pricing aligned with the premium positioning
• Created a multilingual sales toolkit to empower sales teams and resellers: brand book, product catalog, product & recipe sheets, personalized email signature
• Designed a promotional campaign plan for the gourmet circuit
• Organized and hosted in-store tastings to support sell-out
Results
A strengthened presence in the fine food segment, a consistent brand narrative, and a solid foundation to accelerate growth beyond HORECA in the gourmet sector… all without creating new products, but by elevating the existing range with the right tools, at the right time.
